Gilles de Foy Expertise

Degree in Law from the Catholic University of Louvain (2009), Diploma in Fiscal sciences from the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (ESSF/ICHEC) (2011), holder of an international DES Degree in European Tax Law (ESSF/ICHEC- University of Burgundy (France) (2015)).

Gilles de Foy has been registered at the Brussels Bar since 2012.

He is Lecturer at the UCL-Mons (Louvain School of Management) where he teaches the registration and succession rights in the Master of Management Science. He also teaches at the UCL-Mons (CeFIAD) for the University Certificate in Wealth & Estate Planning where he teaches inheritance and donation tax. He is also an instructor at the ICHEC-Entreprises for the Wealth & Estate Planning Certificate and professor at the EFP-Bxl in real property tax law.

He is a specialist in the organisation and the international optimisation of wealth in all its civil and fiscal aspects (personal income tax, succession rights, and registration rights etc) and also assists his clients in tax and wealth litigations that he is entrusted with.

Gilles de Foy regularly publishes contributions on his preferred subjects, he is a contributor to the “Recueil Général de l’Enregistrement et du Notariat”, a member of the drafting committee of the Registration Rights newsletter (“Droits d’enregistrement”) and of the Registration Rights “Werdefroy” yearbook (“L’Annuaire Droits d’enregistrement Werdefroy”), as well as the bimonthly publication “Succession Rights” newsletter (“Droits de succession”) and the Succession Rights ‘Mayeur’ yearbook (“L’Annuaire Droits de succession Mayeur”).

Furthermore he provides regular conferences on these subjects.
